A group of Milan ultras met the 22-year-old in Milanello yesterday, urging him to sign a contract extension if he doesn’t want to sit out the upcoming Serie A clash against Juventus.

Both the Old Lady and Milan are in the race for a Champions League place, and Juve are reportedly interested in signing Donnarumma as a free agent at the end of the season.

The 22-year-old has yet to sign a contract extension with Milan, with his current agreement expiring this coming June.

“I want to stay here, I will decide my own future and there is nothing with Juventus,” Donnarumma told the ultras, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

However, Milan fans insisted he must sign a contract extension this week, if he wants to play against Juventus on Sunday.

They also blamed him for his smile after the 3-0 defeat against Lazio last week and told him he could become the Francesco Totti of Milan.

Donnarumma reportedly left the meeting in tears.

The Diavoli’s technical director Paolo Maldini has reacted to the meeting, saying that every contract extension talk has been put on hold until the end of the season.

He added that any decision about the pitch and contract renewals are down to the coach and the club.
