Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Theo Hernandez were among the Milan players who tried to console Marco Serra after his mistake against Spezia and La Gazzetta dello Sport reveals what the duo told the referee.

At least five or six Milan players spoke to Serra after their 2-1 loss against Spezia on Monday.

The match official had cancelled out a Junior Messias goal in the stoppages, failing to play advantage to give a free-kick from the edge of the box to the Rossoneri. On top of that, Spezia scored the eventual winner in the last second of the match.

According to multiple reports in Italy, Serra was reduced to tears after the match and a few Milan players tried to console him.

Among them, Ibrahimovic and Theo Hernandez.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Swede told Serra ‘everyone makes mistakes’, almost the same as  Theo, who reportedly added ‘I missed a penalty today.’

The Frenchman had fluffed a spot-kick in the first half before Leao’s opener.

Milan are now two points behind leaders Inter, but the Nerazzurri have a game in hand. The Rossoneri host Juventus at the Stadio Meazza on Sunday.
