Daniele Orsato got hit by the ball during the second half of Manchester City-Real Madrid and Amazon Prime Sport Italia revealed what Dani Carvajal and Erling Haaland told the Italian referee.
Orsato was forced to stop the game for a few seconds as he got hit by the ball just a few yards outside the Madrid box at the beginning of the second half.
The Real Madrid defence cleared the ball, hitting the Italian official where it hurt most. Orsato struggled for a few seconds while some players approached him. However, not everyone was interested in the referee’s condition.
Amazon Italia Prime Video pitchside reporter Alessandro Alciato said Carvajal immediately asked Orsato: ‘How are you?’ while Manchester City forward Haaland was more focused on the game: ‘Who gets the ball now?’ asked the Norway international.
Orsato had gotten hit by a ball kicked by a Real Madrid player, so the game restarted with the Merengues in possession.
