Edin Dzeko was among the first of the Inter squad and coaches to galvanise the Nerazzurri supporters during the hostile conclusion to the Coppa Italia semi-final against Juventus on Tuesday night.

The Bosnian was spotted moving towards the travelling supporters, pointing to the Inter crest on his club jacket and prompting the Nerazzurri fans to make even more noise in support of their team.

Dzeko’s actions came in the midst of the heated spats between numerous Inter and Juventus players after Romelu Lukaku’s dramatic late penalty levelled the tie on the night.

Lukaku was shown a second yellow for his celebration, whilst Juan Cuadrado and Samir Handnovic were also sent off for their involvement in a physical scrap, which involved the Colombian trying to punch Inter’s veteran goalkeeper.

Despite an impending appeal from Simone Inzaghi over Lukaku’s dismissal, it is likely that all three will miss out on the second leg of the semi-final clash at San Siro at the end of the month through suspension.
