Italian reports suggest West Ham United have made a new offer for Manolo Gabbiadini, offering Simone Zaza to Napoli.
The Hammers had already been determined to get Gabbiadini over the summer, offering in the region of €25m for the striker.
He remained, but the failure to act as a suitable centre-forward replacement for injured Arkadiusz Milik and a red card for a reaction foul saw him plummet down the pecking order.
According to Rai Sport, West Ham have this week resumed calling up Napoli to ask after Gabbiadini.

A January exchange is possible, as he’d go to London with Zaza heading in the other direction.
Zaza has struggled to adapt to England since his massive move from Juventus and is still looking for his first goal.
Napoli Coach Maurizio Sarri is an admirer of Zaza and sees him as more of a classic centre-forward than Gabbiadini.
It’s possible that in January the two clubs could enact an exchange of strikers.
Although Zaza is technically on loan from Juventus, West Ham’s option to buy becomes obligatory after a certain number of appearances.
