According to reports in Spain, West Ham United are interested in poaching Roma director of sport Tiago Pinto for next season.

The Portuguese chief was brought in from Benfica in January 2021 and is under contract until June 2024.

His rapport with coach Jose Mourinho has been the subject of speculation for several months and that news is now spreading outside of Italy and Portugal.

Spanish site Relevo claim that West Ham and another Premier League club have set their sights on potentially coaxing Tiago Pinto to England over the summer.

Roma have been shaking up their leadership in recent weeks, sacking CEO Pietro Berardi and bringing in former Olympiakos chief Lina Souloukou in the dual role of both CEO and General Manager.

Mourinho has been dropping hints that there are issues behind the scenes, complaining in interviews and press conferences that he was forced to be ‘more than a coach’ at Roma, fulfilling some of the duties that ought to be covered by directors.
