West Ham improve contract offer to Zielinski – report

West Ham have reportedly improved their offer to Piotr Zielinski as they push to close out a deal for the Napoli midfielder.

The Hammers recently signed Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo and they’re keeping their attention in Italy for the time being, trying to finalise an agreement for the Polish midfield, whose contract expires with the Partenopei in 2024.

As reported by Il Mattino, West Ham have now offered up to around €35m to Napoli for Zielinski, close to their €40m request, but they still need to agree personal terms with the 28-year-old, who seems unconvinced about the move.

Zielinski currently earns around €4m net per season in Naples, so West Ham have offered him a contract worth €6m net per season in an attempt to convince him of the move.

Last season, Zielinski made 42 appearances across all competitions for Napoli, for a total of 2613 minutes. In that time, he scored eight goals and provided five assists.
