According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, West Ham have made an offer to Milan target Julen Lopetegui who has already met the Rossoneri owner Gerry Cardinale.
Milan will split from Stefano Pioli at the end of the season and Lopetegui appears to be the leading candidate to replace the Parma-born tactician in 2024-25.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the ex-Real Madrid tactician and his representatives have already met Milan owner Cardinale. The Rossoneri haven’t yet made an official offer for the Spanish coach but seem willing to put on the table a €4m-a-year salary for two years, plus an option for a third season.
West Ham have sent offer to Lopetegui
However, the pink paper claims Lopetegui has already received a lucrative offer from Premier League side West Ham and will decide on his next club by the start of May.
Paulo Fonseca, a former Roma coach, is also on the Rossoneri agenda and Cardinale will discuss the next steps and other potential candidates with directors Giorgio Furlani, Geoffrey Moncada, and advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic today.
Cardinale is in Milan and will be at San Siro tonight for the derby della Madonnina against Inter.
