West Ham back in for Fiorentina defender Milenkovic

There are reports West Ham United are reviving their interest in Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic for the January transfer window.

They had already been tracking his situation over the summer, but instead he signed a new contract at the Stadio Artemio Franchi until June 2027.

According to West Ham Zone and Firenzeviola.it, the Hammers are back in contact with the Viola to ask after Milenkovic for next month.

This is because Kurt Zouma has just suffered a serious knee injury that could keep him out for up to four months, so a replacement is required.

Milenkovic is 25 years old and also impressed with Serbia at the World Cup in Qatar.

He has been on fine form this season, contributing two Serie A goals and one assist in just 11 appearances, while he helped Fiorentina reach the Conference League Round of 16 play-offs too.

However, as he had been linked with West Ham and more prestigious clubs before, it seems as if he has no real intention of leaving Florence.
