La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that Blucerchiati President Massimo Ferrero spent the weekend in London and reached an agreement with the Hammers.

Reports over the details of the deal have varied, with Sky Sport suggesting a €6m deal yesterday and a swap deal with striker Enner Valencia also being touted on Saturday.

However, Gazzetta believe that the result of Ferrero’s meeting with the West Ham hierarchy was an offer of €7.5m for the 23-year-old, plus another €1m of bonuses.

The newspaper reports that a four-year contract is ready, worth an initial €1m per year that will rise.

Obiang arrived at Samp in 2008 and has attracted attention after an impressive Serie A season in which he scored three goals in 34 appearances.
