The FIGC court’s decision to hand Juventus a 15-point penalty in the capital gains case has caused chaos in the Bianconeri world.

FIGC prosecutor Giuseppe Chine asked for the capital gains cased to be reopened against the Old Lady following new revelations from the Turin Public Prosecutor’s Prisma investigation. Chine requested a nine-point deduction and various bans to current and former directors.

On Friday evening, it was announced that Juventus would be given a 15-point penalty, seeing them plummet to 10th in the Serie A table. The club have already announced their intention to appeal the ruling to CONI’s Collegio di Garanzia and are now waiting for the reasons behind the ruling.

Club captain Leonardo Bonucci responded to the ruling with a post on Instagram, calling for unity in this difficult time, saying: “We with you, today it is even more important to be a team. Forward on our path.”

Former midfielder Claudio Marchisio also weighed in on the ruling, asking why the other eight involved clubs were acquitted.

“Capital gains: In econ. language, increase in value, positive difference between two values of the same asset referring to different times. As of this evening I would also add that Juventus are the only ones sanctioned, even though it is used by all clubs.”

A number of Juventus players showed their unity by simply posting a photo of the squad together, including Danilo, Manuel Locatelli, Mattia Perin, Matias Soule, Nicolo Fagioli and Fabio Miretti.

Former defender Giorgio Chiellini posted a photo on Instagram, saying: “When you’re a part of Juventus, you are forever.”
