Cagliari sporting director Francesco Marroccu updates on evolving deals with Roma for Radja Nainggolan, Davide Astori and Victor Ibarbo.
The Rossoblu loaned the defender last summer and the striker this January, while they still own half of the Belgian international midfielder.
Whilst reports have focused on interest from third parties in Nainggolan, and Ibarbo’s start to life with Roma having been hit by injury, the Sardinians’ sporting director believes all three deals will be solved amicably with the Giallorossi.
“The three operations are completely separate,” Marroccu has said, in an interview with Sardegnasport.com.
“Everything's already clear on Ibarbo and Astori. Cagliari have to wait until June and see what Roma decide.
“They could make use of their purchase clause, or let the players come back to Sardinia.
“The Nainggolan affair will see us play a protagonist role, in fact we're already at the negotiating table.
“I think we'll find a deal that will be satisfactory for everyone.”
The director was asked if they meant to fight tooth and nail for the player, but his response was negative.
“These expressions are out of proportion. We are talking about a great player, it's understandable that the economic values should be high, but also debatable according to the point of view.
“Our relationship with Roma is excellent, we're always in close contact and I trust in a good outcome for this operation, one that will make everyone happy.”
