Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri is set to hand Timothy Weah an unexpected start in this evening’s clash with Udinese, whilst Filip Kostic will be left on the bench.
The 23-year-old American hasn’t made a league start since the Bianconeri’s 2-1 win over Salernitana on January 7th, being relegated to shorter appearances off the bench in the last four consecutive games.
Weah has started life with Juventus fairly slowly, scoring one goal and providing one assist in 841 minutes of action across 20 games, suffering from a hamstring injury throughout November.
As highlighted by TMW, Allegri has decided to bring Weah back into the Juventus starting lineup for their Monday evening clash with Udinese, giving him his first start since the Coppa Italia win over Frosinone on January 11th.
Kostic is set to be left on the bench, with Cambiaso moving over to the left side as cover. The Serbian veteran has struggled to prove particularly decisive this season, managing just four assists in 21 league games.
