The two players have both been listed in reports heading into this summer as targets for other clubs, with Guangzhou Evergrande seen as pressing for Gilardino.
Amid talks with Chinese investors over a potential purchase of 30 per cent shares in the Grifone seemingly having gone quiet this week, the club’s President has conceded funds must be raised in the market.
“Gilardino knows what I think of him and his situation,” Preziosi is quoted as telling reporters today.
“Today, however, we cannot afford to refuse offers because we need the money, and this situation is also true for Vrsaljko.”
