Watford are reportedly in talks with Roma to take Juan Manuel Iturbe on loan, returning Victor Ibarbo.

The 22-year-old Paraguayan forward was signed from Verona for €22.5m in July 2014 after a bidding war with Juventus.

However, he has scored only five goals and provided five assists in 54 competitive games for the Giallorossi.

Pushed more and more down the pecking order, Iturbe is thought to be looking for a move elsewhere in order to get more playing time.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Watford are ready to take on Iturbe and send Ibarbo back to Roma.

Ibarbo joined the Premier League side on loan over the summer, but has made only three appearances.

If the Colombian does go back to Roma, he cannot be loaned elsewhere because he already played for the Giallorossi this season and therefore fulfilled his quota of two clubs in one campaign.
