Torino outcast Lyanco is said to be in talks for a transfer to Watford after Real Betis failed to agree a deal.

The Brazilian centre-back has been training separately from the rest of the squad this summer, as he is not part of new coach Ivan Juric’s plans.

However, finding a new club has proved more difficult than expected, as Real Betis were the favourites for several months, but failed to reach the necessary sums to get a transfer.

Now Sky Sports UK reporter Kaveh Solhekol claims that Watford have entered negotiations with Torino for Lyanco.

The asking price is believed to be circa €8.8m.

His contract with the Granata runs to June 2024 and he made 25 competitive appearances for the club last season, scoring one goal.

Lyanco has been sending out some curious messages via social media over the last couple of days, including one that reads: ‘Believe in yourself and there will come a day when other will have no choice but to believe with you.’

  1. Lol at that guy the other day declaring that Lyanco reflects Serie A’s weakness and wouldn’t be considered good enough in another top league… oops.
