Watford made an offer for Sampdoria striker Stefano Okaka, while Massimo Volta is sold to Perugia.

According to SampNews24.com, newly promoted Premier League side Watford have stepped forward for striker Okaka.

The proposal on the table is a transfer fee of €2.8m and five-year contract worth €700,000 per season plus bonuses.

This is still below the €4m asking price, but a deal could be negotiated.

It would be a return to England for sometime Italy international Okaka, who had a six-month spell at Fulham in 2010.
