Sampdoria midfielder Morten Thorsby is reportedly at the centre of a bidding war between Watford and West Ham United.
The 25-year-old Norway international arrived as a free agent in 2019 after his time at Heerenveen in the Netherlands.
His contract runs to June 2023 and he made 35 competitive appearances for the Blucerchiati last season, scoring three goals.
According to Tuttomercatoweb and Sky Sport Italia, West Ham had considered themselves the favourites for his signature.
However, Watford then stepped in with an improved bid, so Samp hope the Premier League sides can push the price up.
Thorsby won’t be allowed to leave Marassi for under €6m.
