Watch: Souness tearful as he remembers Vialli

Graeme Souness was visibly emotional as he remembered his former Sampdoria teammate Gianluca Vialli, who sadly passed away today.

The former Juventus and Italy striker passed away aged 58 following a long battle with pancreatic cancer, which was initially discovered in 2017. Vialli was a close friend of Italy coach Roberto Mancini and joined the Azzurri set-up in 2018 as delegation chief, helping the side win Euro 2020.

Souness and Vialli spent two years together at Sampdoria from 1984 to 1986, winning the Coppa Italia in their first 12 months together.
