Cristiano Ronaldo continues to rack up records, becoming the top scorer in history between European Championships and World Cups with 20 goals.

The Juventus star and Serie A Capocannoniere for the 2020-21 season converted a penalty against France, which was awarded for Hugo Lloris leaping very late to catch Danilo Pereira square in the face.

That was his 20th goal in major international tournaments, between the Euros and World Cup fixtures, more than any other player in history.

It allows Ronaldo to surpass Miroslav Klose on 19, Gerd Muller’s 18 and Jurgen Klinsmann on 16.

It was also his 108th for Portugal at senior level, just one shy of Iranian legend Ali Daei’s all-time record.
