Today is Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero’s 48th birthday, making it the perfect time to look back at some of his best free kicks in the Champions League.

The Italian spent 19 years of his career with the Bianconeri from 1993 to 2012, becoming their all-time top scorer after netting 290 goals across all competitions for the club, over 100 more than second place Giampiero Boniperti.

Del Piero won a huge list of honours with Juventus during his 19 years in Turin, picking up six Scudetti, a Coppa Italia and a Champions League title. With the Italian national team he lifted the World Cup in 2006.

  1. Great free kicks, one of the best ever, they missed the one he scored against dortdmund i think in 1998 – if was on the left centre side and he hit it outside of his boot into top right corner
