Papu Gomez has landed in Italy today as he prepares to complete his free transfer to Monza, returning to Serie A after almost three years away.
The 35-year-old Argentinian forward has been a free agent since the end of June, when his contract expired with Sevilla. He spent two and a half years with the Spanish club after leaving Atalanta in January 2021.
Gomez will sign a one-year deal with Monza, who decided to pick up the veteran forward on a free transfer after Gianluca Caprari suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
