Former defender Micah Richards, who spent one season on loan with Fiorentina, left his co-hosts in stitches after live-translating Romelu Lukaku’s interview following Inter’s win over Porto.
The former Manchester City centre back spent just one year of his career in Serie A, the 2014-15 campaign, but clearly made an effort to learn the language, something he’s proud of to this day.
When Prime Video interviewed Lukaku following Inter’s 1-0 win over Porto in the first leg of their Champions League Round of 16 clash, Richards took to the stage to live-translate the Belgian’s interview, causing hysteria in the studio.
Whilst it wasn’t a perfect word-for-word translation, the former defender clearly understood enough Italian to get the gist of the interview.
