Roma midfielder Edoardo Bove was hit in the head by a glass bottle thrown by Lazio fans whilst being substituted in the Derby della Capitale.
A video circulating around social media shows the 21-year-old walk off the pitch before a number of glass beer bottles at thrown of him, one of which strikes the back of his head. He was later checked by doctors once reaching the Giallorossi bench.
The footage has caused outrage amongst Roma supporters and it could possibly lead to a punishment for Lazio.
