Watch: Juventus star Vlahovic reacts to first Champions League goal

Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic shared an Instagram message after scoring his first Champions League goal in his career.

The 22-year-old took less than a minute to find the net on his debut in Europe’s elite competition last night.

He broke the deadlock in Juventus’ away clash against Villarreal, but his goal was not enough for the Old Lady to return to Turin with a victory.

Vlahovic celebrated by ding the ‘talking’ gesture which he explained after the final whistle.

Vlahovic: ‘People always try to create controversy’

“I don’t know why people always try to create controversy. I don’t read the papers, I just try to improve every day and keep my feet on the ground.

“It wasn’t for any critics, it was just a gesture for a member of my family. That is all.”

He then took to social media to express his joy for his debut which, anyway, gave him a bittersweet taste.

“How thrilling the first Champions League was,” wrote Vlahovic.

“Too bad for the final result, but there are 90 minutes and they will be at home, with our fans in our stadium. It’s all on the line.”

Vlahovic has now two goals in five appearances across all competitions with Juventus.
