Feralpisalò striker Simone Guerra changed his surname (which translates into ‘war’) on the back of his shirt last night in a message against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Guerra, 32, scored a brace in his side’s 3-0 win over Triestina last night. However, there was something different in his kit where he had added the writing ‘no’ ahead of his surname which literally translates into war.

A product of Piacenza academy, Guerra has also played for Spezia, Virtus Entella, Matera and Benevento. He has scored 11 goals in 29 Serie C appearances this term.

Guerra posted the picture of his new kit on social media receiving a comment from ex-Roma and Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan who praised him for his action. ‘Nice gesture,’ wrote the former Belgium international adding clapping and fire emojis.
