Lazio captain Ciro Immobile was shaken but unharmed after being involved in a traffic collision with a tram in Rome this morning.

La Gazzetta dello Sport details how the 33-year-old Italian striker’s car crashed into the number 19 tram at the junction between Piazza delle Cinque Giornate and Ponte Matteotti after it allegedly ran a red light.

Multiple vehicles were involved in the incident and luckily Immobile was unharmed, although he and his daughters visited the hospital for precautionary checks. One of his daughters was seen leaving the scene of the collision in a neck brace.

Immobile discussed the situation to AGTW, saying: “The tram ran a red light. Luckily, I’m okay, my arm just hurts a bit.”
