Zlatan Ibrahimovic marked his return to action with a goal and took to social media to show how his injured knee looked three months ago.

In May, Ibrahimovic sustained a knee injury in Milan‘s 3-0 win over Juventus, forcing him to miss Sweden’s UEFA Euro 2020 campaign.

In June, the 39-year-old underwent an arthroscopic lavage to his left knee and missed Milan’s first two Serie A games of the season.

The former Inter, Juventus and Manchester United star returned to action against Lazio on Sunday, scoring one goal in the second half.

Ibrahimovic celebrated his goal on social media by showing a picture of his knee after the surgery in June and one of him celebrating under the Curva at San Siro.

Milan travel to Liverpool on Wednesday to face the Reds in their first Champions League match in more than seven years.
