Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was furious with Warren Bondo on Friday, and it has emerged the Monza midfielder had hit the Napoli star in the groin, causing his reaction.
Bondo infuriated Kvaratskhelia in the final minutes of a 0-0 draw at the Stadio Maradona and it wasn’t immediately clear why the Georgia international reacted so angrily against his opponent.
However, a video that has gone viral on social media seems to explain Kvara’s reaction as it shows Bondo hitting the Napoli winger in the groin.
Both players were booked following the incident, while Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri was sent off after rushing to defend his star.
“After five games where nothing happens about this, people get fed up. Last time I said that I didn’t want to talk about referees, but if you allow them to do whatever they want and don’t go down to 10 men, this is what happens,” the Partenopei boss said after the final whistle.
