Monza CEO Adriano Galliani was overcome with emotion after Monza’s last minute equaliser against Inter, going mad with joy in the stands.
The 78-year-old Italian, who formerly headed Milan with long-time collaborator Silvio Berlusconi, has been working for Monza since 2018, helping in their historic rise to Serie A. After some early struggles, the Lombardy outfit have started to find their footing in the topflight and sit nine points ahead of relegation candidates Sampdoria.
Monza snatched a point from Inter in their meeting on Saturday thanks to a 93rd minute own goal from Denzel Dumfries, which sent Galliani wild in the stands.
