Marco Verratti has landed in Qatar to complete a permanent transfer to Al-Arabi: “I am very happy to be here and I am looking forward to starting the season,” said the Italy international.

Verratti will leave PSG after 11 years in the French capital.

The Ligue 1 giants have reached an agreement with Al-Arabi and Verratti landed in Qatar on Monday evening. “I am very happy to be here and I am looking forward to starting the season,” the Italian midfielder told Alkass TV Sport.

“I hope we can have a great season and I can’t wait to know everything about this new reality, from the stadium to the fans, my teammates and the coach.”

Verratti was accompanied by ex-Inter and Barcelona defender Maxwell who is part of Rafaela Pimenta’s staff. Verratti is expected to undergo his medical with Al-Arabi and sign a multi-million contract with his new club on Tuesday.
