Gigio Donnarumma met former Milan President Silvio Berlusconi during his holidays: ‘It’s always a privilege.’

Donnarumma made his senior Milan debut in 2015 at the age of 16 and Berlusconi was the Milan President at that time.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper, who won UEFA Euro 2020 with Italy and was named Player of the Tournament, met his former President during his summer holiday.

“It’s always an honour and a privilege to meet President Berlusconi,” Donnarumma wrote on Instagram, posting a picture of their meeting.

Donnarumma, who has recently completed a free move to PSG, was accompanied by Vincenzo Raiola, the cousin of Mino and part of his entourage.

The former Milan goalkeeper also met the rest of the Berlusconi family, including his daughter Barbara and her children: “Thank you so much, my sons have never been so excited,” she wrote on Instagram.

Donnarumma has snubbed Milan’s offer to sign a new contract with PSG until 2026.

He rejected an €8m-a-year offer to extend with the Serie A giants and his new salary with PSG is believed to be in the region of €12m-a-year.

The Italy international played 251 games in a Rossoneri shirt.
