Harry Kane’s winning goal in Tottenham’s victory over Manchester City saw him become the club’s all-time top scorer, prompting Antonio Conte to make a kind gesture.

The 53-year-old Italian coach was not at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the clash, remaining in Italy after undergoing gallbladder surgery last week. His assistant coach Cristian Stellini led Spurs as they secured a much-needed win over Manchester City, restoring some confidence after a tough period.

After Tottenham’s win, Conte spoke to Kane on the phone, praising him for his work and record-breaking achievement. Whilst it’s hard to hear much of the conversation, the Italian coach can be heard saying: “You make me so proud.”
