Mikkel Damsgaard and Joakim Maehle hit the target in Denmark’s 4-1 win over Russia and dedicated their goals to Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen.
The Scandinavians managed to qualify for the last 16 at Euro 2020 with three points in three games.
They had lost against Finland and the Netherlands before tonight’s 4-1 win over Russia.
Their tournament has been dramatically marked by Christian Eriksen’s cardiac arrest on the pitch during their opening game against Finland. The match was suspended and resumed once the Inter midfielder was stabilised in hospital.
Eriksen had a heart defibrillator implanted days after the game.
