Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer defends former Inter defender Achraf Hakimi who was booed for his supportive stance to Palestine during the French Super Cup.

Hakimi started for PSG’s in the Trophée des Champions against Lille in Tel Aviv but was booed every time he touched the ball due to his supportive stance to Palestine.

Back in May, Hakimi took to his official social media account to campaign for the freedom of Palestine after tension with Israel escalated.

Nine Palestinians were killed in Israeli strikes after Palestinian groups fired rockets into Israel.

Israel responded with strikes on the Palestinian coastal territory.

Algeria international Bennacer, who is currently out of action due to COVID, defended Hakimi with an Instagram story.

The Milan midfielder posted a picture of Hakimi in a PSG shirt, adding shushing face, first bump and heart emojis to show support for the 22-year-old who completed a €71m move to PSG in July.
