The Russia and Ukraine internationals are close friends and the war between their two countries has possibly made their bond even stronger. Their teammate Marten de Roon admitted today that the conflict in Ukraine is affecting the dressing room, especially them.
Malinovskyi has been campaigning for his country on social media since the start of the war two weeks ago. Part of his family is still in Ukraine while the conflict is ongoing. Atalanta fans unveiled a banner representing him and Miranchuk at La Dea’s training ground, where the Serie A side are preparing ahead of tomorrow’s first leg of the Europa League Round of 16.
