Wanda Nara insists Mauro Icardi’s sale was an excellent deal for Inter and reveals she is still together with the former Nerazzurri captain who ‘can’t stand’ Maxi Lopez.

The Argentinean agent and showgirl released an interview with Rai 2 program ‘Belve’ on Tuesday night going through her career as a football agent as well as her private life.

Wanda is the wife and agent of Icardi, a former Inter captain, who joined Galatasaray on loan from PSG last summer. He left the Nerazzurri in 2019, joining the Ligue 1 giants on an initial loan deal which was made permanent a year later.

“In the end, it wasn’t so bad for Inter. They earned more than €70m and won a title, building a big team thanks to Icardi’s sale, who I brought to PSG,” said Wanda.

“People never see the good things only because I am a woman, if it were a man doing this deal, it would have made the front pages of every paper. I have great memories of our time at Inter, a piece of my heart will always be interista.”

The 36-year-old also rated herself “10/10” as a football agent and discussed his rapport with Icardi and Maxi Lopez.

The two strikers were playing together at Sampdoria in 2012-13 and Maxi was the husband of Wanda Nara, who broke up with him, dating Icardi and marrying him in 2014.

“I have a good rapport with Maxi Lopez now, while he and Icardi can’t stand each other,” she said.

“Icardi is my husband, we are together, and we’ll be a family for our entire life. He’s been with me almost his entire life. He has fallen in love with the normal me, wearing pyjamas and preparing pasta with parmesan and butter.”

Icardi and Wanda Nara appeared to have broken up after reports that the striker had cheated on her with China Suarez. Whatever happened, Wanda seems to have forgiven Icardi.

“I don’t know what happened. In such a long story, a little thing like this is meaningless,” she said.

“I published some posts [on social media], but it’s something I am accustomed to. Icardi is handsome and young and it’s normal that he’s courted.”

Icardi, 30, is currently on loan at Galatasaray, where he has scored nine goals in 13 appearances. His contract with PSG runs out in June 2024.
