Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has managed one goal every 199 minutes in Turin, but his goals per minute ratio has significantly dropped since his move to the Allianz Stadium.

The Old Lady completed a permanent €80m deal, including add-ons in January, securing the services of one of the most exciting young strikers in the world.

Last week, Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri compared him to Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland, saying that they are the best players of their generation.

Vlahovic has helped Juventus climb to the top four thanks to his four goals in Serie A in a black and white shirt. Overall, he has netted five times in 12 appearances across all competitions in Turin. He has played 994 minutes, managing one goal every 199 minutes.

However, his minute-per-goal ratio has significantly dropped since his move to Juventus. During the first part of the campaign under Vincenzo Italiano at Fiorentina, Vlahovic scored 20 goals in 24 games, one every 102 minutes. Last season, with Giuseppe Iachini and Cesare Prandelli in the dug-out, Vlahovic scored 21 goals in 40 Fiorentina appearances, one every 147 minutes.

13 thought on “Vlahovic’s goals per minute ratio has dropped at Juventus”
  1. Big surprise, in Fiorentina all team worked for him to score, he also did PKs all the time.
It’s all different now, no wonder he scores way less.
He’s a good player but still can’t make goals out of nothing.

  2. No surprise here, know this since the beginning. Its a very different system, will never suit him in any way as long as allegri is still around, that guy is backward. this kid has ruined his own career.

  3. As expected every player that comes to Juventus Levels are dropping. Juve needs a top coach Like Thomas Tuchel or go for Zidane.
Allegri is very limited and can only win in serie A and copa Italia

  4. I think he needs two types of players:

    1. At his sides: fasters, vertical play, dribbling, natural foot at the bands like Chiesa. Juve can go for Heun Min Song and Moussa Diabby.

    2. At his back: playmaker, fast, manging the ball, attacking midfielder like de Bruyne. Juve can go for Luis Alberto and Zaniolo.

  5. Juve are struggling with injuries, and Vlahovic is feeling the pressure a bit. At Fiorentina it was a BONUS if he scored loads of goals. At Juve, it is expected. Also, I think Alegri always tries to close games off at 1-0 up, and Fiorentina are more likely to keep attacking and get a 3-0 win or a 1-1 draw or even a 1-2 defeat. They dont care.

  6. Moise Kean would score as many if he had given to start off from the beginning or at least from 45 minutes…Vlahovic is overrated…

  7. It just happened naturally, every strikers that went to Juve rarely improved. Otherwise, they all weakened themselves, especially when Juve still have allegri in their bench.

Surprisingly their BOD never realize this or maybe just go on and don’t care about anything
(they play beautifully in their own version and they didn’t win any,
they play ugly and still didn’t go anywhere in the championships)

Allegri and the BOD is the main problems, not the players

  8. He only has himself to blame if things get worse with the guidance of PhD Einstein Max. He could have gone to the EPL and it would have raised his profile more significantly, have better players around him and more competition.

  9. Tevez, ronaldo, higuain, dybala, mandzukic, morata, these players have good goal scoring records at Juve. All played under Allegri at some point and yet their output wasn’t affected, even though some were played out of position. My point is – you can’t hide the quality of a good player. Let’s give Vlahovic some time in Juve colours before we judge.

  10. 1- It’s a new environment and he is under a lot of pressure.

2- Teams defend more against Juve compared to Fiorentina.

    3- Juve’s terrible midfield.

Don’t make this into a big deal when it isn’t.

  11. Why not try dipping this shirt and the Azzurri shirt in a lime wash. The players will smell all new and maybe, just maybe their luck will change. Crazy idea? At this point every crazy idea should be on the table. Something needs to address this “Hot or Cold” factor. We need to see consistency.

  12. Vlahovic made a decision to join a dirty club with a coach that plays for 1-0 wins, so he knew what he was doing.

I just hope Allegri the terrorist stays for a long time in charge.
