Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic is willing to pen a new long-term contract and his agent will meet with the club in the coming weeks, reports detail.
The 24-year-old Serbian forward has been in shining form in recent weeks, netting nine goals in his last seven league matches, keeping up his momentum despite the team’s recent drop in results. He is now looking to be a striker worth the €80m price paid two years ago.
Vlahovic has a rising wage structure, meaning his salary will increase to €12m net per season from July onwards. Juventus are still in a delicate financial position and working to build a sustainable project, making the striker’s wages a clear problem.
Page two of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how Vlahovic is willing to sign a new two-year contract extension, extending his deal to June 2028 and spreading the costs of his salary and amortization over the next four years.
The Serbian striker has already informed his agent Darko Ristic to set up a new contract with the Old Lady and initial talks with sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli have been positive. The two parties are expected to meet in late Spring to finalise the details of an agreement.
Whilst Vlahovic already considers himself ready for a top European club, he feels he has unfinished business with Juventus and wants to truly justify his price tag with success on the pitch.
