Dusan Vlahovic is likely to snub a January move to Arsenal, like Manuel Locatelli and Joaquin Correa did over the summer.

Vlahovic, 21, won’t extend his contract with Fiorentina, which expires in June 2023.

Fiorentina director Joe Barone refused to rule out the striker’s sale in January and many top clubs, including Juventus, Inter, Arsenal and Tottenham, have been linked with securing his services.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Gunners have reached a principle of agreement with Fiorentina over an €80m move in January, but the player and his agent want to wait for other offers and are set to snub a move to North London.

Why Fiorentina striker Vlahovic could snub Arsenal

Vlahovic would become the third Serie A star to reject the chance to move to the Emirates Stadium.

Both Manuel Locatelli and Joaquin Correa received offers from Arsenal during the summer transfer window but opted against signing with the Gunners.

Locatelli eventually joined Juventus from Sassuolo on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy for €37.5m, including bonuses. Arsenal had offered €40m to sign the player on a permanent deal.

Correa explains Everton and Arsenal snub: ‘I only wanted Inter’

They had reportedly offered the same fee to sign Correa from Lazio, but the Argentinean reunited with his former coach Simone Inzaghi at Inter.

“It was so important [to reunite with Inzaghi]. Coming here to Inter was already a dream for me, then when I received his call, I had no doubt, I did not want to be anywhere else,” Correa explained in September.
