Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic told a Fiorentina fan he will sign a contract extension ‘when the club will offer it.’

The 21-year-old sees his contract expire in June 2023, and according to reports in Italy he hasn’t yet reached an agreement to extend his stay at the Artemio Franchi.

Vlahovic was signing autographs for Fiorentina fans in Moena yesterday when a fan asked him if he would sign a new deal with the Tuscans.

“I will when they offer it to me,” Vlahovic replied.

Fiorentina director Joe Barone had offered a different angle a few days earlier, saying “it takes two to tang0,” suggesting there were issues regarding the striker’s contract extension.

According to several reports in Italy, the main problem of the deal is that Fiorentina want to include a high release clause in the new contract of their star.

Earlier this week, Tuttosport reported La Viola want to include a minimum transfer fee between €80m and €100m, while the player’s entourage demands a lower clause, possibly below €50m.

Many top Serie A and European clubs have been linked with the Serbia international, including Milan, Juventus, Tottenham and Barcelona.
