Vlahovic leads post-Ronaldo era at Juventus

Dusan Vlahovic will be Juventus‘ central figure in the post-Ronaldo era, with his choice of shirt number providing a hint of this.

The 22-year-old Serbian forward has joined the Bianconeri in a deal worth €80m in total, with €70m being fixed and €10m being objective-related add-ons. He is expected to make his debut for the club in their upcoming match against Hellas Verona on February 6.

As seen on Juventus’ Twitter, Vlahovic has decided to wear the number 7 shirt, previously worn by Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo. The Bianconeri also used the hashtag DV7, similar to the famous CR7 used by the Manchester United forward, suggesting that the Serbian striker is set to be the focal point of the post-Ronaldo era in Turin.

The number 7 shirt has also been worn by other famous Juventus players, including Antonio Conte and Gianluca Pessotto, and Vlahovic will be hoping to make it his own in the coming months and years.
