Dusan Vlahovic is one of the players many assume would walk away from Juventus after the 15-point Serie A penalty, but he insists ‘we are not afraid of anything. When they think we have fallen, we’ll get back up stronger than ever.’
The Serbia international centre-forward has a lot of offers on the table in the summer, especially from the Premier League with clubs like Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur interested.
When the news emerged yesterday that Juve had been docked 15 points in the current Serie A season and more punishments are likely to follow for artificially inflating transfer fees to boost capital gains, those clubs started preparing the Vlahovic swoop.
However, the former Fiorentina striker gave a defiant response on Instagram.
“We are not afraid of losing a few points. We are not afraid of rolling our sleeves up. We are not afraid of our opponents. We must not be afraid of anything.
“Because when they think we have fallen, we’ll get back up stronger than ever. This is us, this is Juventus.”
Leonardo Bonucci made a similar message on his Instagram Stories to rally the troops after the points penalty saw them plummet from third place to 10th in the Serie A standings.
“Juventus are like a seven-headed dragon: cut one off and another will always emerge. She never gives up. Her strength is in her environment,” wrote the defender.
Maybe afraid of all the stuff they’ve done in the past coming to light.
She isn’t called the Old Lady for nothing…..she has been around forever. She has and always will blossom under adversity….
