Dusan Vlahovic is believed to be a major doubt for this Sunday’s Serie A showdown with Milan, as the Juventus striker picked up an injury today.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the Serbian international suffered a strain to the sartorius tendon and had to work separately from the rest of his teammates.
It is not considered to be a serious injury, but it does make him a real doubt to feature this weekend in the head-to-head for Champions League places.
If Vlahovic doesn’t make it, then Arkadiusz Milik or Moise Kean should step in.
The sartorius tendon links the very top of the thigh to the groin, so this latest setback could well be related to the on-going athletic pubalgia issues that Vlahovic has been struggling with all season.
He has been able to make 42 competitive appearances for the club this term, contributing 14 goals and four assists.
Juve would be on the verge of Champions League qualification in second place, but the 10-point penalty for artificially inflating transfer fees to boost capital gains put them down to seventh, albeit still only five points behind Milan.
