Dusan Vlahovic underlined his ambitions to earn a spot in the Juventus museum and touched on his desire to ‘bring great joy’ to the Bianconeri fans.

Despite the Old Lady’s dire form over the last two months, the 24-year-old Serbian star has continued to do well in Turin, playing a leading role in their recent 3-2 win over Frosinone, their only victory in the league since late January.

Vlahovic has finally started to dispel his doubters in Turin this season and his future at Juventus now looks certain ahead of the summer transfer window, with a new contract planned. A change in coaches could also benefit the 24-year-old, who isn’t best suited to Massimiliano Allegri’s defensive style.

Vlahovic ambitions

Speaking in an interview with Lega Serie A’s media department via TMW, Vlahovic first discussed his initial arrival at Juventus.

“My move to Turin was a big change for me. But from the first day I arrived here, I felt at home. For me and I think for every footballer, football is everything, it’s our life. This is the way we live, we are 100 percent focused on football, it’s the only thing on my mind.”

He spoke about the club’s illustrious history and his desire to become a part of that one day.

“The Juventus museum is full of history and trophies, you can also find the shirts of those players with more than 300 appearances and then the famous bench from which it all started.

“Every time you enter here it’s exciting, you can read everything about Juve, I’m proud to be part of this club and I hope to end up in this museum too. I will do the best I can.”

Vlahovic remembered his first day and first goal at Juventus.

“The best moment was obviously my first day at Juventus, when I became one of their players and I met all the fans, the people who work at the club, my teammates. And then again, the first game at the stadium and the first goal… I remember it was against Hellas Verona.

“When I arrived, I was able to play with Bonucci and Chiellini, they helped me a lot to fit in. I also spoke with Buffon, Del Piero, Marchisio… They explained to me what it means play for Juventus and I’m grateful to all of them.

“The most important part of the museum for me is the trophy room, there are competitions that everyone wants to win, and they are also my dream. I will work hard to win one day.”

Finally, Vlahovic discussed his pride and joy at being a part of the Juventus squad.

“Being part of this club, the city, the people, it’s incredible. You have to be at Juventus to understand what it really means. I love Italy, like my home. I’m happy to be here, I have many friends.

“A pleasure to be part of Italian culture. Italy is special, the cities, people, culture, football. I hope to bring great joy to the Juventus fans.”
