Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic says he can ‘compete’ with Borussia Dortmund star Erling Braut Haaland. ‘He’s faster than me, but…’
The Viola striker scored 21 goals in Serie A 2020-21 and has continued to deliver this term, with five in five so far.
Vlahovic opened with a brace in the Coppa Italia and has since scored three times in four Serie A games, including two in the win over Atalanta.
When the 21-year-old was compared to BVB’s star, who continues to impress in the German Bundesliga and in the Champions League, Vlahovic said he can give the Norwegian competition.
“He is faster than me,” Vlahovic told DAZN. “But for the rest, we compete.”
Haaland has started the new season in immaculate fashion, scoring seven times in five Bundesliga games, contributing four assists in the process.
In the Champions League, the Norway international started with a goal in the 2-1 win over Besiktas.
