Juventus: Vlahovic chases Baggio after overtaking Ronaldo

Dusan Vlahovic has had a better start than Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus and could equal Roberto Baggio in tonight’s Coppa Italia clash against Fiorentina.

The 22-year-old joined the Old Lady in an €80m move from Fiorentina in the January transfer window. He returns to the Artemio Franchi for the first time tonight in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-finals.

Vlahovic seems to have brought the goals Juventus were missing in the first part of the campaign and has had a better start than Cristiano Ronaldo in Turin. The Portuguese star scored three goals in his first six games (540 minutes) at Juventus. Vlahovic has scored four in his first six appearances, playing fewer minutes than CR7, 524.

Vlahovic will be targeting another ex-Juventus star in tonight’s game against Fiorentina: Roberto Baggio, who also swapped the Viola with the Bianconeri in 1990.

The Divine Ponytail had a better start than Vlahovic with five goals in his first six games at Juventus, adding one more in his seventh appearance. A brace against Fiorentina would allow Vlahovic to equal the record of the Italian legend, but the task against his former team won’t be easy to accomplish.
