Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic ‘can’t describe’ the feeling of scoring a late winner for Juventus and celebrating with the fans but insists the Bianconeri’s target is to finish in the top four.

The Serbian forward scored his second goal in the last three Serie A matches, helping Juventus secure a late 2-1 victory over Salernitana at the Stadio Arechi on Sunday.

“It means a lot. I am a bit tired to talk but we gave our all, and I think we deserved to win. Congrats to Salernitana, who are a great team. They struggled after the red card, but I wish them good luck.

“We never give up. We will give our all until the end,” continued the former Fiorentina striker.

“We’ll see how it goes, but surely we never give up. There are 18 [19] games remaining; the season is long and as we said, our target is to make the top four. Then we’ll see.”

Vlahovic is one of the few Juventus players saying that the team’s target is to qualify for the Champions League as some of his teammates, including Adrien Rabiot, have reiterated that they dream of winning the Serie A title.

Vlahovic has now scored seven goals in 17 Serie A games this term.

“I’ve always worked hard. Surely, I am happy with these goals, but I could do nothing without the team’s and the coach’s help. I hope to score more goals to help the team,” he added.

“I work day by day. I don’t like to think about the future. I just focus on the things I can change, and I don’t think about those that don’t depend on me,” he said, replying to a question about Juventus’ targets this season.

“I am working hard every day to fulfil my dreams, but the road is still long. All I want is to help the team.”

What did he feel when he celebrated with Juventus’ away fans in the dying minutes after his goal?

“I can’t describe it. I thank all the fans who came to support us despite the weather. Game by game, we are proving we are a great team for great things,” Vlahovic concluded.

Vlahovic joined Juventus in an €80m deal from Fiorentina in 2021 and has scored 29 goals in 80 appearances with the Old Lady. His contract at the Allianz Stadium expires in June 2026.
