According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Dusan Vlahovic could still extend with Fiorentina, but only if he leaves his agent Darko Ristic.

Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso announced on Tuesday that the Serbian striker would not renew his contract with La Viola.

Vlahovic’s €800,000-a-year deal at the Stadio Artemio Franchi runs out in June 2023 and the Tuscans had been in talks to extend his stay at the club for a long time.

Fiorentina offered him a new €4m-a-year contract for the next five seasons but failed to reach an agreement with the player and his agent.

Fiorentina set Vlahovic price amid Juventus, Tottenham and Man City links

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Vlahovic’s representative wanted to keep a 10% on the striker’s future sale and this is one of the reasons why talks between the two parties collapsed.

However, the 21-year-old could still extend his stay at the Artemio Franchi, but only if he leaves his agent who is no longer on good terms with the Tuscans.

Several top European clubs have been linked with securing Vlahovic’s services, including Juventus, Tottenham, Manchester City and Liverpool.

Fiorentina are already considering alternatives to their star striker and the shortlist includes the likes of Andrea Belotti and Gianluca Scamacca.
