Dusan Vlahovic had the perfect Champions League debut, scoring for Juventus within 32 seconds against Villarreal, but his celebration answered critics too.
There had been so much expectation and debate ahead of the Round of 16 fixture at La Ceramica, as the €75m plus bonuses signing from Fiorentina was thrown straight in at the deep end.
He certainly didn’t leave anyone waiting, taking just 32 seconds to find the net on his full Champions League debut.
Fans noticed that during his goal celebration, Vlahovic made the ‘talking’ gesture with his hand, as if he was silencing the critics who had started up the doubts after firing blanks in Serie A against Atalanta and Torino, plus the Coppa Italia with Sassuolo.
